Google Doodle Saudi Novelist Names

Riyadh: On the occasion of the 90th birthday of the well-known Saudi novelist Abdul Rahman Munif, the search engine Google named its doodle in his name.

According to Urdu News, the search engine Google has released a Google Doodle on the occasion of the 90th birthday of Saudi Arabian novelist Abdul Rahman Munif.

Google says that the doodle has been released in memory of Saudi novelist, critic, intellectual and journalist Abdul Rahman Munif.

A Google Doodle related to Munif was seen in the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Iraq, Egypt, Libya, Algeria and Morocco.

Who is Abdul Rahman Munif?

Saudi novelist Abdul Rahman Munif was born in 1933 in the Jordanian capital of Amman, his parents were Saudi.

He received his primary and university level education in Jordan, went to Baghdad University to study law in 1952 and then graduated from Cairo University.

Graduated with a PhD in Petroleum Economics from the University of Belgrade in 1961, began his career as an economist in the oil industry in Baghdad, later working for the Oil Ministries in Syria and OPEC.

During his stay in Iraq, he was the editor of a monthly magazine.He was interested in literature and writing from his childhood. He said that the function of literature is to raise awareness.

Abdul Rahman Munif has also written several short stories before his first book came out.

He published his first novel in 1973, best known for his book Five Cities of Salt, in which he described how the Arab world changed during the oil era.

Abdul Rahman Munif’s 15 novels and short stories have been translated into more than 10 languages, and he has won several awards for his writings.
