A 2-member investigation team has been formed on the issue of ill-treatment of women prisoners

Lahore: Chief Minister Punjab Mohsin Naqvi formed a two-member investigation team on the issue of mistreatment of women prisoners in prisons.

Deputy Commissioner Lahore Rafia Haider and SP Dr. Anoush Masood Chaudhary are included in the committee. Both members of the committee will meet the women in jail.

Earlier talking to the media, Caretaker Chief Minister Punjab Mohsin Naqvi said that the protection of women imprisoned in jails is my responsibility. All mothers and sisters are ours. A total of 32 women were arrested and 11 of them are with us. Never in history have incidents like mistreatment of women in prisons taken place.

He said that as long as I am sitting it is my responsibility to protect them. Those who are making these accusations should think about such things. All those involved in the Jinnah House attack will not be spared, no matter how influential they are, they will be prosecuted and punished.

Mohsin Naqvi said that I challenge that if any policeman is found involved in unethical behavior, he will be punished. There is no truth in the news regarding Imran Khan’s detention.

On the other hand, the Punjab government released the data of the women arrested in the May 9 incidents, according to which a total of 32 women were arrested in the May 9 incidents, out of which 21 have been released.

According to the Punjab government, 11 women are imprisoned in the jails of the province on judicial remand and the propaganda of mistreatment of them is a lie. Government is the biggest bearer of women’s rights. Islam also teaches us to honor and respect women. Can’t even imagine mistreatment of women. Action is being taken according to law against women involved in terrorist activities.
