The US has started the joint military exercise ‘Eagle Resolve 23’ with Saudi Arabia and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries.

The headquarters of the US military in the Middle East, Central Command, said in a statement that the exercise will focus on counter-terrorism, sea mines and air defense cooperation.

Regarding these exercises held in Saudi Arabia, CENTCOM chief General Michael Korella said that these exercises are being conducted to strengthen military ties in the entire region.

He said exercises like Eagle Resolve will demonstrate US military cooperation and provide opportunities to expand joint operations in all GCC countries.

According to the US military, Eagle Resolve exercises are conducted twice a year.
