Instead of the President, Modi inaugurated the Parliament building, boycotted by the opposition

New Delhi: Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the new Parliament building in New Delhi despite the boycott of the opposition parties.

According to international media reports, Narendra Modi inaugurated the new 4-storey Parliament building of India. On this occasion, the opposition parties said that it is a complete insult to the constitution, the inauguration should not have been done by the Prime Minister but by the President.

Modi inaugurated the new Parliament House and called it the ‘Cradle of Power’. At the beginning of the ceremony, Hindu priests sang religious songs while Narendra Modi performed Hindu rituals.

In his speech after the inauguration, the Prime Minister said that the new Parliament is not just a building, but it is a symbol of the aspirations of 140 crore people of India. This new complex will be proof of India’s independence.
