Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) has hired another British footballer for this year’s major events. Grimsby Town’s Otis Khan, who emerged from Manchester United’s academy, has been cleared to represent Pakistan.
27-year-old attacking midfielder Otis Khan has been declared eligible to represent Pakistan on the basis of his grandfather being Pakistani.
Attempts were made to feed Otis from Pakistan earlier in 2015 as well, but it was not possible due to incomplete documentation at that time.
Oates is a product of the Manchester United Academy who started his professional career with Sheffield United and currently represents Grimsby Town FC.
After completion of documents and clearance from FIFA, he is now ready to represent Pakistan immediately.
PFF sources have confirmed that Otis Khan will be available to represent Pakistan in the four-nation tournament in Mauritius next month and the SAFF Cup in India.
The Pakistan Football Federation had earlier cleared former England youth team captain Isa Sulaiman to represent Pakistan.
