Asad Ali Memon, a student of Karachi’s private university, has accomplished an extraordinary feat by climbing Mount Everest, the world’s highest mountain.
Asad Ali Memon, a student of the Institute of Business Management (IoBM), is the first person from Sindh province to reach the 8,849-meter highest mountain, Mount Everest.
A statement issued by the university on this remarkable feat said that climbing this magnificent mountain means that Asad Ali Memon is now part of an exclusive group of people who have climbed Mount Everest and the first from Sindh province. And the only person.
The university also expressed its wish for the student’s health and safe return to his family.
The mountaineering community of Pakistan is making the nation proud by constantly accomplishing great feats.
The last person to make history before this was Pakistan’s renowned mountaineer Sajid Sadpara, who climbed the world’s highest mountain without the aid of supplemental oxygen last Sunday.
Before Sajid Sadpara, Pakistani mountaineer Naila Kayani became the second woman from the country to climb Mount Everest.
Naila Kayani also has the honor of being the first Pakistani woman to climb 4 peaks above 8,000 meters.
Apart from Mt Everest, he also climbed K-2, Annapurna, Gasherbaram I and Gasherbaram II in a span of just two years.
It should be remembered that the first Pakistani woman to climb the highest peak in the world is Samina Baig, who accomplished this feat in 2013.
