An Air France flight to Tokyo made an emergency landing back at Paris airport eight hours after departure due to a technical problem during the journey.
According to aviation sources, Air France Flight AF 276 took off from Charles de Gaulle Airport in Paris to Narita Airport in Tokyo, Japan at 12:10 PM local time on Sunday.
Four hours after takeoff, the flight was at an altitude of about 31,000 feet over Tbilisi, Georgia, when the Boeing 777 experienced a technical problem.
When an emergency situation arose, the pilot, on the instructions of his headquarters, took a return route and when the flight reached France, the flight radar also received emergency signals from the aircraft.
On the instructions of the air traffic controller, the pilot made several rounds of the aircraft in the air.
Later, more than 8 hours after departure, the flight landed safely back in Paris.
