Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has started paving the way for this year’s Asia Cup, with PCB’s proposed hybrid model a few steps away from being approved.
Sources say that after Bangladesh and Sri Lanka, Afghanistan and Nepal have also assured to play in Pakistan.
Afghanistan and Nepal assured PCB through email to play in Pakistan.
India’s objection to the hybrid model has not been of any importance as PCB’s hybrid model does not include India playing in Pakistan at all.
All the cricket boards involved in the hybrid model have assured to support Pakistan. A neutral venue can be negotiated after the hybrid model is approved.
Other boards are not yet willing to play in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Due to the heat of September, other cricket boards were afraid to play in the UAE.

PCB wants to hold Asia Cup in UAE due to high ticket sales and gate money.
The PCB will present its stand based on the Asia Cup and IPL held in September in the past.
