Another record by Shahroz Kashif

Pakistan’s young mountaineer Shahroz Kashif has set another record by climbing the world’s seventh highest peak, Dhaulagiri.

By climbing the 8,167-meter peak in Nepal, he became the youngest mountaineer in the world to climb 12 peaks above 8,000 meters.

Shahroz Kashif started his advance for Dhaulagiri summit on Tuesday night and crossed the milestone by reaching its highest point on Wednesday morning.

21-year-old Shahroz Kashif is the second Pakistani who has climbed 12 out of 14 peaks above 8,000 meters. Sarbaz Ali Khan from Hunza Valley has also climbed 12 high peaks before him.

Shahruz Kashif from Lahore wants to make the record of climbing all 14 highest peaks at the youngest age and to achieve this record he has now to climb 2 peaks in China, Chu Eo and Sheshapangma.

The record is currently held by Mangama David Sherpa of Nepal who climbed all 14 ‘eight thousands’ at the age of 30.
