The Punjab Police has registered a case of missing journalist Imran Riaz, while the DPO has sought 48 hours from the court to recover him.
Lahore High Court Chief Justice Amir Bhatti heard the request of Imran Riaz Khan. In which the court severely reprimanded the police and summoned the DPO Sialkot and issued orders for the recovery of Imran Riaz.
Later, DPO Sialkot sought respite from the court and met the sector commander on the court order.

DPO Sialkot said that a case of missing Imran Riaz has been registered, all possible efforts are being made to recover Imran Riaz.
The DPO informed the court that geo-fencing, CCTV footages and records are to be checked, requesting the court to give 48 hours time.
On this, Imran Riaz’s lawyer said that if Imran Riaz recovers in 24 hours, we can wait.
The public prosecutor also sought an unconditional apology from the court, while the court accepted the request of the DPO for recovery within 48 hours.
