Lahore: Railway police arrested two accused for raping a minor girl at Okara station. Both the accused are railway employees.
According to the details, on May 9, the victim girl had reached Okara railway station to go to Karachi, where she met railway employees named Haseeb and Abid. Accused Haseeb seduced the victim and took her to the parcel section room of the station on the morning of 10th May and raped her.
Later, in order to cover up the incident, the accused arranged a ticket for the victim girl and let her alone in the Karachi-bound train. On reaching Karachi, the girl was found in a state of sadness and distress, and the Pakar railway police officials inquired for her help.
The girl told the police about the incident that happened to her, on which the Karachi Railway Police started legal proceedings and informed the Lahore Railway Police about the incident.
Meanwhile, IG Railways Police Dr. Rao Sardar Ali Khan, taking notice of this unfortunate incident, issued instructions to DIG North to arrest the accused immediately.
On the instructions of the IG, DIG North Dr. Muhammad Waqar Abbasi formed a team headed by SP Lahore Rana Iftikhar Ahmed, which included Sub-Inspector Malik Irfan Ashraf and SHO Raiwind Muhammad Siddique and others. The team arrested the accused Haseeb and Abid within a few hours.
In this regard, IG Railways Police Dr. Rao Sardar Ali Khan said that the people involved in such a heinous crime do not deserve any concession and they will be punished.
