Lahore: In Punjab, the Child Protection Bureau has apparently done a great job in effectively preventing the incidents of violence against child domestic workers and girls, while in Rahim Yar Khan, an incident of brutal violence against a 10-year-old domestic worker has come to light.
According to the details, 10-year-old housemaid Mehreen Parzeevarat was brutally tortured by her mistress in Rahim Yar Khan district of South Punjab after accusing her of stealing jewelry worth lakhs of rupees.
In this context, it was told that Mehreen’s body was burned with an iron, while her mouth and legs were tortured with plass. On the other hand, instead of taking action on the report of the heirs, the police pressured them to reconcile and handed over the girl to the heirs.
The authorities of the Child Protection Bureau have taken notice of the incident on the demand of the heirs. A video that went viral on social media in which 10-year-old Mehreen, a resident of Sardargarh, described the atrocities on her.
He said that three months ago, her parents made her a housemaid of Dr. Zeeshan, a resident of Ada Gulmarg, for a monthly salary of Rs. He made it a source of immense violence.
In this regard, it was told that the mistress’s anger did not cool down and instead of handing over the young maid Mehreen to the heirs, she was taken hostage. On which a complaint was given by the heirs to Police Station B Division for action.
On this occasion, the brother-in-law of the victim domestic servant Mehreen told that when contacted, he demanded from District Police Officer Rizwan Umar Gondal that Mehreen, who was the victim of brutal violence by her mistress, should undergo medical treatment and be punished accordingly.
In this regard, when the officials of Child Protection and Welfare Bureau Punjab were contacted, they said that the incident will be investigated and legal assistance will be provided to the victim girl to get justice. Apart from this, a report has been sought from the Child Protection Bureau in Rahim Yar Khan
