The sub-polio campaign has started across the country from today, with a target of immunizing more than 23 million children.
According to the spokesman of the Ministry of Health, the polio campaign is being conducted in two phases, the first phase is from May 15 to 19, during which children will be administered polio vaccines in 12 districts of Punjab, 18 districts of Balochistan and 17 districts of Sindh.
According to the spokesperson of the Ministry of Health, in the second phase, from May 22 to 26, vaccinations will be administered in 18 districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa as part of the polio campaign.
Federal Minister for Health Abdul Qadir Patil has said in his statement on the launch of the polio campaign that China will not sit down until the eradication of polio. Parents are requested to give polio drops to their children.
Abdul Qadir Patel has said that children are our future, we have to save them from permanent disability, from May 29 to June 5 there will be a campaign in 7 districts of South Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
He says that more than 100,000 trained health workers are part of the anti-polio campaign.
