Najam Sethi demanded that only the first round matches of the Asia Cup should be played in Pakistan.
According to the PCB’s new proposal, round two matches of the Asia Cup, including the final, should be held in the UAE.
Pakistan agreed to host the final of the Asia Cup in the UAE.
PCB has proposed to hold 4 matches of round one in Pakistan.
Other Asia Cup teams had demanded a change to the hybrid model considering the additional travel costs.
PCC also assured commercial and logistical arrangements for the hybrid model.
Other Asia Cup teams also expressed concern over the hot September weather in the UAE.
PCB cited Asia Cup 2018 and IPL to be held in UAE in September.
The members of the Asian Cricket Council sought consultation time from Najam Sethi on the new proposals.
According to the sources, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka did not talk about shifting the Asia Cup to a neutral venue during the Asia Cup meetings.
