Several percent increase in online business in Saudi Arabia

RIYADH: Saudi Arabia has recorded an increase of more than 32 percent in online business in just a few months.

According to Urdu News, the Saudi Ministry of Commerce says that during the first quarter of this year, online business in the kingdom has increased by more than 32 percent on an annual basis.

The Ministry of Commerce said in its statement that in the first quarter of 2023, 4 thousand 93 commercial registrations (licenses) were issued, while their number was 3 thousand 499 during the same period last year.

The Ministry of Commerce said that during the first quarter of 2023, the highest number of commercial registers for online business were issued in the Riyadh region, with the number of 13,195 registered.

8,605 licenses were issued in Makkah, 5,294 in Eastern Region, 16,49 in Madinah and 11,7 in Al-Qasim.

It should be noted that due to the effective home delivery service across the country, the scope of online business has also expanded, which is also saving time.
