IG Punjab has released the details of the secret fund

Lahore: IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar released the details of the police’s secret fund.

In a statement regarding the secret fund of the police, IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar said that there is no accountability for the secret fund provided by the government, but the current police leadership has not kept the use of the fund secret. All records of funds are presented to the Police Executive Board meeting every week.

He said that when he took charge of the Punjab Police chief, there were 03 crore 82 lakh, 47 thousand 500 rupees in the secret fund. 8 lakh was given to SSP Investigation Lahore for a special project and Rs. 5 lakh, 18 thousand 620 rupees were spent for sensitive installations and measures to protect lives and property of citizens.

IG Punjab further said that 18 lakh 25 thousand rupees were given to the officials of operations and investigations. A very dangerous gang was eliminated by giving 2 lakh rupees to CIA Lahore, while another 10 lakh rupees was spent in a rough operation.

According to Dr Usman Anwar, after all these expenses, the remaining amount of 3 crore 34 lakh 3 thousand 880 rupees is present in the secret fund account. This secret fund will be used for operational expenses to eradicate dangerous criminals and terrorists.

IG Punjab says that the account of all the money will be presented in the executive board meeting held every week and also in front of the public. It is our responsibility to account for every rupee received from the government, which is prepared for.
