Peshawar: CCTV footage of police lines before the blast has come to light, with the help of which significant progress has been made in the case.

According to the footage, the explosion took place at around 1:17 PM and the power went off as soon as the explosion occurred. The investigation team has expanded the scope of investigation from the CCTV footage while identification of the persons seen in the CCTV footage is in progress.

According to the investigation team, the investigation of the important case is going on and therefore they are unable to show the sensitive aspects of the footage and cannot go into details yet.
It should be noted that in the afternoon of January 30, 101 people, including the imam of the mosque and officials, were martyred and 49 people were injured as a result of a suicide blast inside the police lines mosque.
The blast happened at the time of Zuhr prayer where the attacker was in the first row. The attacker entered through the main gate of the police station along with worshipers, crossed three security fences and entered the mosque and blew himself up.
