PIA plane entered Indian airspace to avoid bad weather and heavy rain in Lahore.
According to aviation sources, PIA flight PK 248 was coming from Saudi city of Dammam to Lahore. Due to heavy rain, the plane could not land at Lahore Airport.
The plane entered Indian airspace while diverting from Lahore to Multan in bad weather.
The PIA pilot informed the Indian aviation authorities about the entry into Indian airspace.
Due to heavy rain, the captain of PIA flight had to go to Indian airspace till Ferozepur to divert to Multan airport.
The PIA captain informed the Indian Civil Aviation about the situation, the Indian CAA allowed the PIA aircraft to use the Indian border to divert due to the situation.
Later, the PIA flight landed safely at Multan Airport, according to aviation sources, the flight will be taken back to Lahore when the weather improves.
