The Pakistan Billiards and Snooker Association (PBSA) has sought permission from the Government of Pakistan for the participation of the Pakistan team in the World Snooker Championship in India.
The association wrote a letter to the Ministry of Inter-Provincial Coordination in this regard.
PBSA chief Alamgir Sheikh says that permission has been sought from the government to participate in the event in India.
He said that Indian Snooker Federation has assured visa for Pakistani players.
He said that the World Amateur Snooker Championship will be held in Goa from October 1 to 15. The Indian Federation has requested names in advance to start the visa process.
Alamgir Sheikh said that if India does not grant visas to Pakistani players, the championship will be shifted to another country.
