Lahore: In the case of arson, vandalism and police violence on Canal Road, the anti-terrorism court extended the interim bail of Asad Umar, Farrukh Habib and others till May 6.
The court directed Musrat Cheema and Farrukh Habib to join the investigation today.
Anti-Terrorism Court Judge Abhar Gul heard the case. Yasmin Rashid, Asad Umar, Umair Niazi, Musrat Cheema and Farrukh Habib completed the attendance. JIT chief Aftab Phalrawan also appeared in the court.
The judge of the Anti-Terrorism Court inquired about the progress in the investigation. The head of JIT said that Farrukh Habib and Musrat Cheema have not yet joined the investigation.
Lawyer Musarat Cheema said that we have challenged the JIT. Judge Abhar Gul remarked that even if the JIT ends, the statement has to be recorded, and will decide after hearing the case on May 6.
