The US House of Representatives has approved a bill to cut federal spending.
The bill proposed by Republican members also includes a provision to increase the debt ceiling.
In the House of Representatives, the Republican bill was approved by a vote of 217 to 215, however, 4 Republican members of the House of Representatives voted against their party.
The bill passed by the House of Representatives is likely to be rejected in the Democrat-dominated Senate.
