New research has discovered the cause of graying of hair with age, while also suggesting that hair can turn black again.
In the results of research conducted by American scientists, the reason for graying of hair with aging has been discovered.
Scientists have called the new cells ‘stem cells’ as the cause of the white hair, claiming that when the cells that keep the hair black are weakened, then the hair falls out and the new hair starts coming out white from the root and if these cells mature. When done, the ‘melanocytes’ turn into a hormone, which maintains the natural color of the hair.
A team of researchers from New York University conducted this study on mice, which have the same type of hair cells.
The researchers have also claimed that white hair can be made black again in the future.
According to the British Association of Dermatologists (BAD), further studies on the gland ‘melanocytes’ will also help find solutions to various types of cancer and other health problems.
Scientists believe that once the mechanism of hair graying is discovered, it will help to prevent and reverse hair graying.
