Petition for increase in electricity price submitted to Nepra

The Central Power Purchasing Agency has submitted a request to NEPRA to raise the price of electricity under the March fuel price adjustment.

A request to raise the cost of electricity by 1 rupees 17 paise for DISCO customers has been submitted to Nepra.

Nepra will hear the Central Power Purchasing Agency’s request on May 3.

On the other hand, K Electric has already submitted a request for fuel price adjustment.

K Electric has requested to increase the price of electricity by 4 rupees 49 paise per unit.

Nepra will also hear the application of K Electric on May 3.
