Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif called a big meeting of the coalition parties yesterday before talks with Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).
The last 2 days left for the government and PTI to agree on the election from the Supreme Court of Pakistan.
According to the sources, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is making preparations to settle matters with PTI, but some allies are opposed to it.
According to sources, PML-N chief Ayaz Sadiq contacted PTI’s Asad Qaiser on Friday and agreed to meet on Wednesday.
On the other hand, Imran Khan has clearly said that the mandate of negotiations has not been given to Asad Qaiser but to the party’s vice-chairman Shah Mehmood Qureshi.
According to sources, Imran Khan wants elections in Punjab on May 14, 2023.
It should be remembered that the Supreme Court has given time till April 27 to the government and PTI to agree on the date of election.
