The 26.2 mile long London Marathon was won by Kenya’s Kelvin Kaptam. Among the more than 45,000 participants of the marathon, Geo News anchor Muhammad Junaid, who arrived in London after the Boston Marathon, was also included.
Every athlete in the marathon ran to raise money for some charity, the women’s race went to Seifan Hasan of the Netherlands.

Race participants passed through the Greenwich, Canary Wharf, Towerbridge and Trafalgar Square to the Mall in front of Buckingham Palace. The distance of 26.2 miles was first covered by Kenyan Kelvin Captum.
He clinched the title in two hours, one minute and 25 seconds, not only that, but also the second-lowest marathon time. Geoffrey of Kenya finished second by three minutes.
Netherland’s Seifan Hasan led the women’s race. He covered the distance in 2 hours 18 minutes 33 seconds. Ethiopian athlete Elimu finished second by just five seconds.
