The video of Pakistan cricket team’s former fast bowler and Test cricketer Shoaib Akhtar’s disastrous bowling against New Zealand in 2002 has come to light.
Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has shared the video of Shoaib Akhtar’s brilliant bowling performance 21 years ago on its Twitter account, which is being liked by the users.
In the caption of the video, PCB wrote that on this very day, April 21, 2002, Shoaib Akhtar had performed the best bowling of his career.
In the first match of the three ODI series played in Karachi, Pakistan won the toss and decided to bat first. Thanks to Muhammad Yusuf’s brilliant century, Pakistan set New Zealand a target of 276 runs to win.
In defense of the target, Shoaib Akhtar showed excellent bowling and took 6 wickets for just 16 runs in 9 overs, thus Pakistan won the match by 153 runs.
Shoaib Akhtar was also declared man of the match due to his best bowling in the match.
