In Peshawar, the insurance company has stopped hospital admissions on Sehat Card Plus.
The insurance company has sent a letter to the panel hospitals, district medical officers, stating that admissions under Sahat Card Plus have been temporarily banned.
The post further said that from April 20, new admissions are closed in the hospitals on the panels until further notice, while the health desks of health facilities cards in the hospitals will remain closed.
The post also said that Health Facilitators, District Medical Officers will be present for claim preparation.
According to health department officials, the insurance company has arrears of Rs 14 billion, for which several notices have been received for payment.
Caretaker Health Advisor of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Dr Abid Jameel said in a conversation with Geo News that health card facilities are being restored soon.
He further said that steps are being taken to pay the arrears to the insurance company, it is hoped that the payment will be made to the insurance company this month.
