Our goal is to make Pakistan the number one team, Muhammad Rizwan

Pakistan cricket team’s wicketkeeper batsman Mohammad Rizwan has said that it is not important whether I am the number one or Babar Azam, the important thing is to be the number one Pakistani, we all have one goal and that is to make Pakistan the number one team.

Speaking to Geo News after the match in Lahore, Mohammad Rizwan said that while playing the match, he did not think that he was going to score a century.

He added that at that time we had to score runs quickly, so we did not pay attention to the scoreboard. If Allah wills, we will have a century partnership in the next matches.

The wicket keeper said that the wicket was comparatively better than the first match, but the new ball had to be played a little longer.

Mohammad Rizwan added that our plan for the match is 70% successful and 30% mistakes are made, the effort was to make a good total if we do not lose wickets.

Mohammad Rizwan said that with Babar Azam, we try to rotate the strike, we have a lot of trust in each other, we are ready to lose our wickets for each other.

“We always take chances to score, it’s better to lift one in the air and one feels better to play a ground shot,” said the wicket-keeper batsman.

Mohammad Rizwan said that we scored 59 runs in the powerplay which is a good score, people think that we are not taking chances but we are.

He further said that Pakistan is getting good players from PSL, our batting is up to number ten, so they don’t think about who will be behind, if they start thinking about what will happen behind, they will not be able to play their game.

In response to a question, Mohammad Rizwan said that they don’t look at a single series, they look at what needs to be done for number one, after a win, you get confidence.

Mohammad Rizwan said that we will go match by match, I hope from the team that we will definitely whitewash.
