Lahore: Joginder Singh, an Indian citizen who came to participate in the Baisakhi Mela, died of a heart attack, whose body was handed over to the Indian authorities at the Wagah border.

According to Express News, 65-year-old Joginder Singh was a resident of Tej Bahadur Nagar area of ​​Jalandhar in Indian Punjab. The deceased arrived in Pakistan via Wagah border on April 9 to participate in Baisakhi Mela.

According to officials, Joginder Singh was residing in Block 5, Room No. 252 of Gurudwara Janam Asthan Nankana Sahib when he suddenly suffered a heart attack which proved fatal. In this regard, District Headquarters Hospital Nankana Sahib has issued the death certificate of Joginder Singh.

Joginder Singh was one of the pilgrims in party leader Sardar Amarjit Singh’s party. The staff of the Abandoned Waqf Property Board has informed the higher authorities about the death of an Indian citizen due to a heart attack. Steps are being taken to send Joginder Singh’s dead body back to India via Wagah border.
