Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Management Committee Chairman Najam Sethi has said that there is a discussion to retain Babar Azam as the captain of all three formats.
In a series of tweets released on the social networking site Twitter, Najam Sethi said that for many months there has been a debate in cricket circles about the pros and cons of keeping Babar Azam as captain.
He said that this decision is the chairman’s, first I heard the views of Chairman Selection Committee Shahid Afridi and now Haroon Rashid. Concluded that the situation should remain as it is.
Najam Sethi says I explained this whole situation in public, the final analysis is that his decision will be subject to the success and failure of the current situation.
Chairman Management Committee Najam Sethi said, “Moving forward, the selectors, directors of cricket operations and head coach will guide me. I expect them to be in the best position to advise me.”
He also says that we should support Babar Azam and not make this issue controversial in the interest of the national team.
