The Islamabad Police apologized for providing security to the New Zealand cricket team for their visit to Pakistan.
Sources said that the required security resources were not provided to the Islamabad Police.
Police officials say that provision of resources and expenses for security is the responsibility of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).
On the other hand, the sources said that the personnel on flour supply, census, Ramadan duty are already busy.
Islamabad Capital Police requested the Ministry of Interior to provide resources.
Islamabad Police spokesperson says that foolproof security will be provided to the New Zealand team if resources are available.
He said that after providing the resources, security arrangements for the visiting cricket team will be made possible.
