A Saudi-Omani delegation is likely to visit Yemen’s capital Sana’a next week to reach a permanent ceasefire deal with Houthi officials.
According to a foreign news agency, if the parties reach an agreement, it will be announced before Eid-ul-Fitr.
The possible visit to Sana’a by Saudi officials is a result of the progress of talks between Saudi Arabia and the Houthi rebels, mediated by Oman.
It also proves that regional conflicts are decreasing after the restoration of relations between Saudi Arabia and Iran.
It should be remembered that in 2014, the Houthi rebels overthrew the government of Yemen.
