Adviser Sports Punjab Wahab Riaz announced the Ramadan Mubarak Sports Series. Competitions between 9 divisions of Punjab will be held in Lahore from 7th to 11th April.
Punjab Caretaker Setup Adviser Sports Wahab Riaz and Lahore Commissioner Ali Randhawa held a press conference at the National Hockey Stadium.
Wahab Riaz said that competitions are going to be held in 6 different sports in Ramadan, including hockey, football, badminton, kabaddi, table tennis and cricket.
He said that women will also participate in badminton and table tennis competitions.
He said that 85 lakh 50 thousand rupees will be distributed among the winning players and teams.
Commissioner Lahore said that Punjab government money will not be spent on sports, money will be collected from the private sector and invested on sports events.
Teams from Lahore, Faisalabad, Gujranwala, Multan, Sargodha, Rawalpindi, Bahawalpur, DG Khan and Sahiwal divisions will participate in the Ramadan Sports Series.
Prizes of 47 lakh rupees will be distributed among the hockey teams taking prominent positions.
