Karachi: The officer investigating the murder of Dr. Birbal Ganyani detained his assistant who was injured in the firing incident and shifted her to Women Police Station Sadar for investigation.
According to the details, the Garden Investigation Department Police detained his assistant, Qaratul-Ain Dokhtar Shaukat, who was allegedly involved in the murder of ophthalmologist Dr. Birbal Ghaniani between Saturday and Sunday, and transferred her to Women Police Station, Sharia Faisal Sadar, for investigation. have done.
It should be noted that on March 30, Dr. Birbal Gyani closed his eye clinic in the evening and left his car number ANK-784 white Suzuki Alto to go home from Chela Ram Road and when at about 6:22 PM, Ghulam Hussain Road. Dr. Birbal and his assistant were rushed to Jinnah Hospital by Edhi Ambulance, where the doctors confirmed the death of 62-year-old Dr. Birbal Giani son of Allah Dinu, while Quratul Ain was treated.
A case of the incident was registered on March 31, 2023 at Garden Police Station against unknown accused persons under 302, 324, 327/34 in the complaint of the brother of the deceased doctor, Revad Ganiani, however, the plaintiff expressed his suspicion while filing an FI with the police. In his statement, the plaintiff said that Dr. Birbal was retired as Senior Director of Health Services, MC Karachi and was residing at Gulshan Iqbal Block 13D3. The police detained and interrogated Zubair, the ex-fiancé of Qaratul-Ain, after which Qaratul-Ain was also investigated. According to the investigation report, Dr. Birbal Ginani and Qaratul Ain had known each other for 11 years, the deceased doctor and his assistant were residing in Gulshan Iqbal, Qaratul Ain used to visit the clinic with Dr. Birbal.

The police have conducted forensic tests of 4 9mm shells found in the incident, the weapon used in the murder has never been used in the past.
The investigation police say that the mystery of the murder has almost been solved and everything will be clear from the accused Qaratul Ain in a day’s investigation, after which the officers will inform the details through a press conference.
