The government has decided to dissolve the Pakistan Council for Renewable Energy.
Sources say that the prime minister issued the directive to dissolve the council, which has also been implemented.
It has been decided to transfer the assets of the Council to PCSIR under the Ministry of Science and Technology.
Determining the Council’s failure to provide the required services in renewable energy, the committee headed by Special Assistant Dr. Jahanzeb Khan completed the initial task.
Sources say that renewable energy could not be promoted due to poor performance of the council, the national exchequer had to suffer huge losses due to non-promotion of renewable energy.
