Eating almonds before meals can reduce the risk of diabetes.
Two new American research studies have shown that eating almonds before meals can control blood sugar in people with diabetes and obesity.
For the aforementioned research, the researchers conducted 2 studies, one long-term and one short-term. The long term study consisted of 3 months while the short term study consisted of 3 days.
Meanwhile, participants had to eat a handful of almonds (about 20 grams) 30 minutes before breakfast, lunch, and dinner. It should be noted here that participants were instructed to refrain from consuming all other dry fruits during this study.
Experts hypothesized for this study that eating almonds before a meal would help reduce glucose and insulin fluctuations.
The study revealed that almonds were found to be an important ingredient in keeping blood glucose levels in check.
From these results, the researchers concluded that eating a handful of almonds (about 20 grams) 30 minutes before each meal can rapidly and dramatically improve glycemic control and lower blood sugar. Is.
