Former Pakistan cricket team captain Misbah-ul-Haq has said that comparison between Babar Azam and Virat Kohli is not correct, Kohli has played a lot of cricket while Babar is just starting.
Speaking to the media in Lahore, Misbah-ul-Haq said that when Babar Azam plays as much cricket as Virat Kohli, then compare because there is no match for what Virat Kohli has achieved.
Misbah-ul-Haq said that Babar Azam is a world-class batsman, he has had great performances so far and is one of the great batsmen of Pakistan.
The former captain said that every year Babar Azam comes in the top 5 rankings in every format because Babar Azam is a quality cricketer and batsman.
He said that the performance of the Pakistan team in white ball cricket is going well, while the Test performance has come down, which has to be thought about.
Misbah-ul-Haq said that Babar Azam alone is not responsible for Test performance, there is lack of planning, team selection and many other things.
Misbah-ul-Haq said that the way Babar Azam has been targeted is not correct.
He said that whether the captain is Babar Azam or anyone else, things should be evaluated first, and decisions should not be made just by creating a narrative or by putting pressure, it is not right that only after thinking about it, then you have to remove it.
