Former captain of Pakistan cricket team Shahid Afridi has said in his message released on the occasion of Pakistan Day that March 23 reminds us of the purpose for which our elders created Pakistan.

The day started with a 31-gun salute in Islamabad, while 21 guns were fired in all provincial capitals, Karachi, Lahore, Peshawar, Quetta.
