Pakistani cricketer Kamran Akmal has said that Babar Azam is happy to be the Cricketer of the Year, no one doubts his batting skills but there is room for improvement and change in captaincy.
Talking to the media in Lahore, Kamran Akmal said that Babar Azam has got the honor which big cricketers could not get.
Kamran Akmal said that batsmen like Virat Kohli, Steve Smith and Kane Williamson did not get this award, Babar Azam’s award should be promoted as much as possible.
He said that Babar Azam has become a star with his performance, there is no doubt about his batting abilities but Babar’s captaincy is visible to all.
Kamran Akmal said that there should be improvement and change in captaincy, it has been 3 years now since Babar Azam became the captain, now is the time to deliver.
Wicketkeeper Batter said that Babar Azam’s captaincy should show confidence and body language should be strong.
Kamran Akmal said that this is the year of the World Cup, the captaincy should look aggressive, something should be out of the box.
He said that my journey in PSL has been great, Peshawar Zalmi has been very supportive, there comes a time when you have to part, my time has also come but I am with Peshawar Zalmi.
Kamran Akmal said that Peshawar Zalmi has been my franchise, I will definitely come to the ground whenever needed but at this time I will analyze the PSL teams.
