Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz invited Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi to visit Saudi Arabia.
According to news agency from Tehran, Iranian President’s Deputy Chief of Staff for Political Affairs, Mohammad Jamshidi, said in his statement on social media that Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz invited Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi to Riyadh.
Mohammad Jamshidi said that the Saudi ruler has welcomed the restoration of relations between Iran and Saudi Arabia in a letter to the Iranian president.
He said that the Saudi ruler has also emphasized on Iran-Saudi strong economic and regional cooperation.
According to Mohammad Jamshidi, Iranian President Raisi has welcomed the Saudi ruler’s invitation and said that Iran is ready to increase cooperation with Saudi Arabia.
According to the news agency, no such letter has been confirmed by Saudi Arabia yet.
It should be noted that Iran and Saudi Arabia announced the restoration of bilateral relations on March 10.
