Houston, Texas: NASA experts in partnership with a private company have come up with a modern, lightweight and flexible space suit for future astronauts and moon landings that has many features compared to the white space suit.
NASA has developed this suit in collaboration with Axiom Space, and according to the company, training suits for astronauts who will walk on the moon will also be presented this summer.
When man first set foot on the moon 50 years ago, the space suits of that time were very heavy and inflexible. This is because a special material was made to protect the moon from the direct rays of the sun and heat or cold. It contained a lot of metal. Due to the stiffness of the suit, the astronaut also had difficulty in turning his arms and legs.
However, advanced advances in materials science have now produced modern and comfortable suits for the Artemis moon mission. The suit comes after NASA paid Axiom Space a total of $228 million. However, it will be worn by astronauts on the Moon in 2025 thanks to the Artemis-Soum program.
These suits absorb radiation and return the heat back to the environment.
