India’s aggressive batsman Surya Kumar Yadav outclassed two illustrious compatriots in his innings.
The first T20 of the series between New Zealand and India was played in Ranchi, where the Kiwis easily defeated the Indian giants by 21 runs.
In this match, other Indian players could not perform well, but world number one T20 batsman Surya Kumar Yadav played his best innings.
Surya Kumar Yadav scored 47 runs off 34 balls in the first T20 match against New Zealand.
The highlight of this innings was that he overtook former captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni and left-handed batsman Suresh Raina in the list of highest run-scorers for India in T20 cricket.
Surya Kumar Yadav has so far scored 1625 runs in 44 innings with a strike rate of 178.76.
It should be noted that Mahendra Singh Dhoni scored 1617 runs in 98 matches while Raina scored 1605 runs in 78 matches.
