Spokesman Islamabad Police says that 5 officials including DIG Operations Islamabad were injured due to stone pelting from the roof of Imran Khan’s house.
The spokesman said that the PTI protesters pelted stones heavily at the police, yet the police refrained from taking extreme measures.
He said that SP Rana Hussain Tahir has taken charge in place of DIG Operations.
The spokesperson said that SSP Operations Lahore Shoaib Ashraf and SP Sarfraz Work are also present at the spot.
He said that the PTI workers blocked Athal Chowk and protested, on which the police took timely action and opened the road for general traffic.
Spokesman Islamabad Police said that a case has been registered against the person who blocked the road on Imran Khan’s orders.
He said that a case has been registered against PTI leaders Hamid Zaman Kayani, Anees Abbasi, Sheikh Liaquat.
He said that a case has been registered for blocking the road by PTI protesters in Tarnool area.
The police have also arrested 15 protestors while taking timely action in Tarnool.
