On the same day, 3 different flights of Emirates Airlines faced emergency situations in UK and Italy.
One of the flights landed back in Milan 5 hours after take-off, while the other 2 landed at different airports in the UK, all three happening yesterday (March 13).
According to aviation sources, Emirates Air Flight EK 205 took off from Milan International Airport to New York at 3:45 PM local time in Italy.
Two and a half hours after takeoff, the plane was over the Atlantic Ocean when the pilot made a U-turn back on instructions from air traffic control.
Airbus A380-861 with registration A6EUD made an emergency landing back at Milan International Airport 5 hours after departure.
Similarly, Flight EK, which took off from Dubai at 8:06 AM to London’s Heathrow International Airport, reached its destination after covering a distance of 1.7 hours, and an emergency situation arose in the plane.
After circling the air for an hour on the instructions of air traffic control, the pilot failed to land the plane at Heathrow International Airport.
Later an Airbus A380-842 with registration A6EVE landed safely at Gatwick Airport in London.
Another Emirates Air flight EK 29, which was flying from Dubai to London at 10:11 in the morning, arrived in the UK after traveling for about 7 hours. The pilot, despite making several circles in the air, landed the plane at London’s Heathrow. Unable to land at the airport, Airbus A380-861 with registration A6EEY subsequently made an emergency landing at Birmingham International Airport.
Although there was no loss of life in these incidents, aviation experts are busy talking on social media about the emergency situation that happened to 3 flights of Emirates Airline within 3 hours in the same day.
