RIYADH: Saudi Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan called the agreement to restore relations with Iran the result of two years of negotiations.
According to the report of the Arab media, the Saudi Foreign Minister says that in Beijing, the capital of China, Iran and Saudi Arabia have reached an agreement regarding the restoration of their bilateral diplomatic relations after seven years.
He said that this bilateral agreement has been reached on the basis of good neighborliness and respect for the high national values of both the countries.
The Saudi Foreign Minister said that in this agreement, it has been decided that both countries will give importance to the principle of dialogue to solve the security problems of the region and resolve the differences.
Prince Faisal bin Farhan said that the motivation behind the restoration of Saudi Arabia’s diplomatic relations with Iran is the Saudi vision, which emphasizes political solutions to conflicts and resolving differences through dialogue.
He said that all the countries of the region have common values and all have one future. It requires that we all work together to set a pattern of development and prosperity so that our people are blessed with development and prosperity.
