The Islamabad High Court will pronounce its verdict on the appeal against the death sentence of Zahir Jafar, the convict in Noor Muqaddam murder case, on Monday.
Convict Zahir Jafar had appealed against the death sentence in the Islamabad High Court, a two-judge bench had reserved the verdict on the appeal on December 21.
The bench includes Chief Justice Amir Farooq and Sardar Ejaz Ishaq Khan.
It should be noted that on July 20, 2021, a 27-year-old girl, Noor Muqaddam, was killed with a sharp instrument in F-seven-four of Kohsar police station.
The case of murder of Noor Moghadam has been registered in Kohsar police station on the complaint of the father. In the case, former Pakistani ambassador Shaukat Ali said that his 27-year-old daughter Noor Moghadam was killed by the accused Zahir with a sharp instrument.
Police say that marks of torture were found on the victim’s body, while the head was separated from the torso.
It should be noted that Islamabad police arrested the accused Zahir from his house on the night of July 20.
