Rawalpindi Police registered a case against a eunuch who had been imam for one and a half years while hiding his gender.
According to Express News, the case was registered in the Rawat police station on the complaint of the local people and the accused Muhammad Khan was detained by the police.
The plaintiff in the case, Raja Shafiq, has alleged that a eunuch named Muhammad Khan led the local mosque for one and a half years and also led several funeral prayers.
According to Raja Shafiq, last month the eunuch left the Imamate of the mosque, after which the local people saw him off respectfully, but a day ago, the police arrested the accused while begging for water in the guise of an eunuch, after which it was found that Muhammad Khan is eunuch.
The police said that the accused will be remanded from the local court for further investigation.
