The petition for contempt of court against the interior minister was declared inadmissible

The Lahore High Court dismissed the contempt of court petition against Federal Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah as inadmissible.

Justice Abid Aziz Shaikh issued a written decision on Shahid Rana’s application.

According to the written judgment, the petitioner has not adduced evidence on the issue of audio leaks and has not attached the transcript of the audio leaks while the petitioner is not the affected party.

The petitioner’s position was that on the audio leak, Rana Sanaullah used insulting words against the judiciary in the press conference. It was requested that the court take contempt of court proceedings against Rana Sanaullah.
