Saudi Arabia announced March 11 as National Flag Day.

According to the Saudi Press Agency, this decision has been made after the order of King Salman.

On March 11, 1937, the date in the Islamic calendar was 27 Dhul Hijj 1355 Hijri, on which day King Abdulaziz approved the design of the national flag of Saudi Arabia.

Later, very minor changes were made to the flag, but the current Saudi flag has not been changed since 1973.

The Saudi flag has the word Shahadat written on a green background with a white sword above it.

It should be noted that last year, Saudi Arabia announced the annual holiday of Foundation Day on February 22.
