Lahore: A man riding a Land Cruiser was arrested for torturing a youth in front of a private store in Faisal Town.
A case was registered under the provisions of torture and intimidation in the complaint of the victim Umar Zia, which was processed by the Gardan Town Investigation Police.
The vehicle of the accused involved in the violence has also been taken into custody.
A few days ago, the accused Kashif, who was drunk, tortured the youth in the middle of the road by kicking the car and abusing him. The video of the violence against the youth went viral on social media.
In-charge Investigation Garden Town Abid Ali said that the identification of the accused was possible with the help of the vehicle’s number plate and Safe City cameras. SP Investigation Model Town Aftab Ahmed Phalrawan said that they are working day and night to protect the life and property of the citizens.
DIG Investigation Sohail Akhtar Sukhira congratulated the Garden Town Investigation Team for arresting the accused.
